the captain

i keep on saying this but i am truly blessed for having you in my life.  you have witnessed my ups and downs, and in all those moments, you were there for me.  you already knew what's happening to me even before i realized it myself.  you're always ready to lend a hand and a shoulder to lean on even before i asked.  everytime i text you, "san ka?", you already knew that something's wrong...

also, thank you for believing in me.  you just don't how my heart swelled when you encouraged me to audition in pinoy masterchef.  though i didn't try it, it's enough that someone as good as you has faith in me.  thank you too for being so patient and sometimes "not so" patient everytime i become pasaway he-he... :p

i am so lucky that you are not just my friend but a sister as well.  i started to see the world with you and i know that we will see the rest of the world together with our other sisters =)  

you've been a great sister, friend, daughter, leader, colleague, lahat-lahat na! =) kaya nga for me, you will always be the alpha and the captain and no one can ever take that away from you.  i just hope and pray that someday, sooner than soon, you will also be the captain of someone's heart ;-)

again, happy birthday Sis Yen!  i love you to the moon and back and more!

remembering matet

August 20, 2010 - This is what I wrote during Matet's eulogy.  We will forever miss you Matet...

When I first met Matet, my initial reaction was, “oh, I thought she’s tall!”

When it comes to height, Matet may be a small person but I’m sure that all of you will agree with me when I say she has a big heart for everyone.  She’s the type of person who would give her all if that’s the only way for her to help someone in need.  I will never forget her smiles and laughter even in those times that she’s really tired.  Many used to joke that we’re sisters because I’m Lot-Lot and she’s Matet.  But true enough, I somehow felt that she treated me as her younger sister.  She’s very sweet and thoughtful.  Everytime someone will give her something, she will call me at the Accounting office to share it with me.  And when my father died barely three months ago, she offered her comforting hug.  And when I cried, she cried with me too.  I still remember when we had this serious conversation about life.  I shared with her all my pains and heartaches and the next thing I knew, she was crying already because she said, she can imagine the pains I’ve been through.  The next day, she told me that she was really glad for the conversation that we had.  She even hoped for us to have that kind of conversation again. 

Matet was truly a good person and there’s something in her you wouldn’t miss to love.  Some people may think that she had overdone it but Matet was not Matet if she wasn’t like that.  That’s how she really was.  She wants to care to people and extend her help in the best way she can.

I will forever miss her laughter, the way she called me “kapatid” and the look of concern in her eyes.

Matet…I may not be here right now to personally deliver this short message but I know that you understand because we both love our families.  You’re a good daughter, a loving friend and a great colleague.  And for the last time, I just want to make one more request.  Please give all my love to my Tatay and please tell him how much I miss him.  And to you Matet, please know that I truly appreciate all the kindness you’ve shown me.  We love you and you will forever be in our hearts.  Thank you so much for sharing your life with us.  It’s really sad that you have to go and leave us but we know that you’re now in a better place for Father God have already called you in His kingdom.  Rest well Matet ‘cause you truly deserve a break.

I won’t say goodbye, instead, see you again in heaven…

that's how they used to call us when we were kids.

the triplets.

  when you see any of us, expect to see the other two as well.  we're almost inseparable at that time. we were partners in crime.

and most of all,

they're my very first friends.

first pic was taken during our kindergarten graduation day.  we were reciting a poem in that pic (just can't remember if it's ang asong mataba he-he ☺).  i will never forget when we were always the last one to go out our classroom as a punishment because we're very makulit (i think until now hehe ☺).

then the pic below was taken last sunday, august 14, 2011 during our batangas trip with our childhood friends.  it's our first pic together after a very looooooooong time. i felt a certain warmth in my heart just by looking at this pic.  this is one of those moments wherein you suddenly wish to go back in your childhood days.

some friendships were established thru different experiences but ours was built purely from innocence.  we may have gained friends as we grew older but i realized one thing,

friendship don't die, it only rest for a while.

let's celebrate the gift of friendship everyone!

Brent International School Manila

finally

did i say i want to go to duty free? ☻ well, particulary royal and freeport hehe. i wasn't really excited to be in puregold duty free since it's almost the same with SNR. i believe that most of the sales and best buys are in royal and freeport duty free hehe and FINALLY, before we went home, we all agreed to drop by there for last minute shopping and dinner. ☺

so here's me and ate thea  pretending to be cool and not excited ☻

but the truth was we're very much anticipating this hehe

did you see all those nerds and pistachios and chips ahoy? ☺

i really love duty free ♥ ♥ ♥

but i suggest that when you buy chips ahoy, make sure it's from nabisco and there's ORIGINAL in the packaging, it's the best!

hehe, sorry to Kraft, just being honest

 and after our "short" shopping trip, it's time to go home

look at our faces? do we seemed really happy? hehe

mission accomplished!

we attended and enjoyed the team building

but most of all,

we went SHOPPING! hehe
